CHRIST IN TRAINING

Yes,

I actually did. Not the most practical way to discover, I found out after a deep examination of my life choices on the eve of my 20th birthday. The thing is, though, rather than being a victim in this story, I figured I was my own villain. Somewhere deep in my heart I knew I wasn’t ready for a serious relationship, and probably wouldn’t be for the next 3 years but my hyper-fixation on adding a new boy trophy to my “SHELF OF COVETOUSNESS” to prove myself to MYSELF (how funny- not) was more important than my Christ given self-esteem and I burrowed in a hole that took me an entire year to resurface from.

So I’m here to take one for the team and plead with you NOT TO DO IT. Leave that man alone today! My target audience knows that after years of failed talking stages and a couple of situationships, you are starting to realise maybe the man is not the problem; it’s you. What started off as simply a desire to be loved or desired (because mostly it’s lust in the driver’s seat) has turned into a constant battle of wooing the most attractive man in the room. If he’s attracted to you, you drop him and if he’s not …. You’ve HIT THE LOTTERY. If this is not an open invitation for the sons of Gomorrah into your life…. what else could it be? Jesus explains clearly in the book of Luke 12:15 – “Beware of COVETOUSNESS”, your life does not consist in the abundance of the things you possess”, and my darling, that includes your partners.

Having a rotating roster doesn’t make you Hotter!
